Adaptive practices are best suited to complex environments, like educational settings, where there is a need to test and discover. Due to the intricate nature of practice improvement, it is essential to have systems for continual formative evaluation to establish whether benefits are realised (or not). To be able to do this effectively school leaders need to consider collaborative routines and practices that will enable them to respond and adapt to emerging evidence in a timely manner.
The online workshop is based on the best-selling book Developing Teaching Expertise: A Guide to Adaptive Professional Learning Design authored by Dr. Ryan Dunn and Professor John Hattie.
